Are these symptoms just the flu?

For the past week or two, I've been feeling run down and generally "out of it". It is now Monday, and ever since Thursday night I have been feeling much worse. Some of my symptoms include a fever, headache, a tasteless white mucus-like film forming on the roof of my mouth, sensitivity to light, severely runny nose, chills, sweating and a cough that feels like it's moving mucus in my lungs. These symptoms come and go intermittently. I feel worst late at night and in the morning, and I had to stay home from school today. Is this just simple influenza A?
