Is this paragraph in my essay unorganized? (Just 1 paragraph, only like 200 words)?

Anders is introduced to us In "Bullet in the Brain" as "a book critic known for the weary, elegant way in which he dispatched almost everything he reviewed" -- not a very pleasant first impression. He wasn't always such a grouchy person. He used to fall in love. He used to give respect. He used to be normal; however, as he grows old, all those human-like qualities are sucked out of him, leaving in his place a bitter old man who despises all things predictable. He "began to regard the heap of books on his desk with boredom and dread", and "grew angry at writers for writing them". There is no longer excitement in his life, and "everything began to remind him of something else." A shot in the head, frees our protagonist from his boring, tasteless life. Death as a form of redemption comes as a relief -- Anders finally escapes his dreary life.
