Has King Kenny over paid for his signings or is it just England players are overpriced?

Both, English players are always over priced. The clubs aren't willing to let the players they've spent years training up leave cheap. But �35m for a striker who has had one season in the top flight (albeit, a rather good one) is ridiculous.
