AMERICAN citizens, why do you honor Thomas Jefferson when he believed this?

Blacks have odor, and the inability to communicate intelligently. He said he never heard of a black man who "uttered a thought above the level of plain narration" ALL blacks were "dull, tasteless and anomalous and INFERIOR to whites". (Notes on the State of Virginia 1781)
