Is this proper? Requesting checks for wedding gift to be sent to trvl agcy , and deadline...?

It is becoming more normal practice for the couple to ask for "destination gifts" (contributions towards their honeymoon) rather than the typical kettle/toaster etc as couples usually live together first and so have all these things, but it is usually handled a bit more tastefully than "Send a cheque to XYZ Travel by this date"
