Need some advice! Joining the Military.?
I've had three brothers work as recruiters for the US military, and I'll tell you what they told me: Get Things In Writing. Your recruiter may offer you the moon and stars and tell you how qualified you are for the dream job, but what he says to you doesn't matter - what matters is what he writes on the enlistment contract you sign. Your contract might specify certain schools, for example, or a guarantee of your first duty assignment, but if it isn't written then the military is under no obligation to even try to get you what the recruiter offered.
