General deployment question?

The Marines and Navy Deploy more than anyone cumulatively. In wartime the Army and Air force do their fair share, but even in peace the Navy is forward deployed 24/7 waiting do drop of marines or tomahawks on whoever needs them. Navy is also first responder to humanitarian efforts. During this current ground campaign in Iraq and Afghanistan it hasn't been uncommon for Marine and Army personnel to be deployed for 18+ months and sent again with very little turnaround time.
